The first day of August. School starts for many kids soon. Within the next couple of weeks, some near the end of the month. University, community college, high school, middle school (or what we called in my day junior high school), elementary school. Parents starting to look at ads more carefully on how to stock up their kids for whatever educational challenge prepares them. Heaven knows I peruse Target ads like they are part of the Hunger Games trilogy. I have a large grocery bag filling up high with boxes of number 2 pencils, erasers, glue and glue sticks, crayons….
But let’s just enjoy summer while we can, shall we? Enjoy the whole sitting outside in the shade of a tree, just out of reach of the sun but still feeling the heat bathe us.
